What I fear

The term “terrorism” comes from French terrorisme, from Latin: terror’, “great fear”, “dread”, related to the Latin verb terrere, “to frighten”.

It’s working.

I am terrified of the world view our nations will continue to have toward those that don’t look similar, that worship in a different way, that dress or speak differently.

I am terrified that people will live in fear. Retreat into their comforts and stop experiencing wonder.

I fear that narrow minds will feel validated.

I dread living in a world so divided as ours yet so capable of unity and peace.

And yet, I will still wander.
